TRAIN THE TRAINER
(The National Youth Committee would love to visit each district and assist with the training of your youth leaders.  Please contact us for more details.)

What is the vision of the Train the Trainer Programme?

T
o multiply the efforts of the National Youth Committee by training trainers who will then equip youth leaders in leadership skills in youth ministry who will then impact the youth of Africa.

What are the requirements for trainers?
  • A Trainer must have a passion for young people
  • A Trainer must be active in youth ministry
  • A Trainer becomes one by invitation from the National Youth Committee
  • A Trainer must attend each youth leadership training level.  The trainer must not teach any level until they have attended the level for themselves.
  • The Trainer must take notes and use these ideas in their youth ministry for 3 months
  • The Trainer must have a review by a leader/pastor who observes them in youth ministry
  • The Trainer must read The Youth Leader’s Training Manual and complete the exam
  • The Trainer must assist with a training before they can lead one on their own
The Train the Trainer Programme has two dimensions. First of all, the goal is for trainers to equip youth leaders to impact the youth of Africa.  Secondly, these trainers must also be trained.  Therefore, training of trainer classes will also be held on an as needed basis. Trainers will be taught how to teach the material relevantly to youth leaders.  They should not just “read” the notes, but they should understand the material enough that they can speak from their passion.  As we teach the youth leaders to teach youth creatively, these sessions should also represent the creativity that is possible for youth ministry.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAININGS
The trainings include 5 levels.  It is recommended that each level is done in a day training session.

1- SURVIVAL GUIDE TO YOUTH MINISTRY
Creative ways to keep youth interested & loving youth ministry

2-LEADING BY EXAMPLE
   Leadership principles, delegation, & administration

3- VISION AND PLANNING
How to cast vision, set goals, make plans, and accomplish it!

4-DISCIPLE NOW
The process of bringing a youth unsaved to being a leader in Christ.

5-EVANGELISM EXPLOSION
Ways to inspire and encourage youth to be witnesses

*We humbly request each district to help NYM with their transport costs, meals and accommodation when traveling to your district.
